Unit 6 Lesson 5 The French Revolution Part Deux
First complete the Khan academy video assigned to you on French Revolution Part 2
Next
Your assignment will be to develop a script that will be used to produce a newscast on their topic. The newscast will have three main parts: This is on what you will be graded!!!
· Cause of the Event
· Details of the Event Taking Place
· Effects of the Event
Steps:
1. You will choose an event from the French Revolution.
2. You will take notes on the causes, details, and effects of your assigned event on the events worksheet. You may even find additional information online, if necessary. Make sure you know the event thoroughly!! (You should be able to tell me about it without having to reference your notes!)
3. You will develop scripts to present a newscast. You will have several roles to complete with a script
Roles to be filled:
1) In Studio News Anchor for the Cause (Causes of the Event)
2) On the Scene Field Reporter for the event taking place (Details of the Event Itself)
3) In Studio News Anchor for Effects of the event (Effect of the Event)
4. You MUST submit a script for approval before going on with preparing the presentation. Once your scripts have been signed off on, proceed to step 6.
5. You will use your scripts to plan a newscast that will be presented on FlipGrid. You may plan to use props, costumes, or other materials to make the newscast seem more real. Your newscast must be AT LEAST 3 minutes long!! (Hint: Don’t concentrate on time, concentrate on the content…then work on timing!)
6. You will be graded based on the rubric below as well as peer reviews! So…work hard or not, the choice is yours!
I have provided a template for the news cast to help you get started and an example of a student news cast. You will have only one event and must take on all the roles yourself.
